Anybody know Nochi Krohn? You should!

Nochi Krohn is someone that may Nageela campers may not know, but he's a great friend of Nageelas (besides being a personal friend). He is the arranger, recording technician and principal musician on our "I'm a Jew" CD, and he's been in camp several times for plays to help with the sound (especially this year with our awesome shema yisrael play.

Anyway, Nochi is engaged, yippee!
Mazal Tov to Nochi.

You can send your mazal tov wishes here.

Ohhhh Baby

We would like to wish a Mazal Tov
to former Nageela counselor
Mr. and Mrs. Elchanan Shoff
upon the birth of his daughter Shifra.

You can post your wishes here

Too Funny

I'm sitting here in the JEP office, laughing hysterically. Yes, it's a JEP meeting. If you only knew what went on behind the closed doors (no, we don't only make fun of campers- although it is the main thing we do). It's wayyyy too funny. I need to sign off.

Party Time

As you all know, this weekend is the one, the only, the fantastic
PARTY SHABBATON
(drumroll please) where you will jump (boing boing), flip (ouch ouch) eat (instead of a drumroll, can I get a drumstick?) dance (Dani, my bunk hasn't had gameroom in 4 months!) and do other exciting things (notice how sleep wasn't included in that list) accompanied by an allstar cast (hopfully not IN a cast) of staff members.
Sounds sweet, I know, I know.

If for some odd reason you're not yet signed up, do it right now on jepli.org by clicking on EVENTS and going to the PARTY SHABBATON (duh) area.

Shalom SOmething

About half the camp is part of Shalom. Not to be confused with the other half of Camp which is part of the other Shalom.
Anyway, one Shalom (not the Camp Shalom program from Sinai academy... sorry, Azi) is having a shabbaton this weekend (it's the one that's a school in NJ, oooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh). Not only are they having a shabbaton, but they've decided to bring in the best of the best, so I guess they're serving Diet Mountain Dew; but besides that, it means they're having Camp Nageela at their shabbaton!
So I'll be there, along with former Camp Driver Dude Avi Appel (hmmm, I wonder if that has anything to do with who he's married to?) and the greatest Nageela staff around!
If you happen to know of any of the greatest Nageela staff around who still may be interested in coming, let me know and we'll see if we have a spot for you (wink, wink).

A true Shabbat SHALOM.
OUCH

Mama Rachel

While I'm talking music, I figured I should post something jewish, too. One of the favorite 'Shabbos is going away' songs is Mama Rochel. Here's the original artist live in concert.

Jeerrrrzzzzeeeee

EE BEE was awesome!
All you guys who were at the EB shabbaton, let's hear from you!
Did anybody know that Yoni Hoch sings opera?
The NETS did pretty well at that awesome game! we went to. Tell you the truth though, the best part was the performance by NUTTIN' BUT STRINGZ' who are now my favorite band. Check em out here!

The Shabbatons Are Coming!

The Shabbatons Are Coming! The Shabbatons Are Coming!

Even if that wasn't exactly Paul revere's cry, it holds true for us these next few weeks.
1. EB- this week, Jersey is rockin the suburbs with a sweet shabbaton including a trip to see the NETS vs. HEAT (free jersies included, of course).
2. Bucks County, PA- Robbie Kravets and Andrew Katsman (bunk 4) host dorky and the Richboro Shabbaton crew for a chilled shabbaton out in Churchville Pennsylvania.

Many more coming in upcoming weeks. If you want a shabbaton in your neighborhood, let me know! (no, not your neighborhood, Yehuda)

Crazy

I don't know what's goin on. I'm just in a bit of a weird mood. What's new. It's not often that mmonkey fly over my head in middle of the night, Well, it actually is often, but usually they aren't singing opera in Yiddish. I guess that's just because they're purple monkeys. Makes sense. Uh- huh, perfect sense.

See, Bartholomew agrees.

Have a wonderful afternight and a merry Tuesday.

Pumpkin korn

Well, not really korny, but hey, it's a joke.

A rich millionaire decides to throw a massive party for his 50th birthday, so during this party he grabs the microphone and he announces to his guests that down in the garden of his mansion he has a swimming pool with two great white sharks in it. 'I will give anything they desire of mine, to the man who swims across that pool.'
So the party continues with no events in the pool, until suddenly, there is a great splash and all the guests of the party run to the pool to see what has happened. In the pool is a man and he is swimming as hard as he can, and the fins come out of the water and the jaws are snapping and this guy just keeps on going and the sharks are gaining on him and this guy reaches the end and he gets out of the pool, tired and soaked.
The millionaire grabs the microphone and says, 'I am a man of my word, anything of mine I will give, my Ferraris, my house, absolutely anything, for you are the bravest man I have ever seen. So sir what will it be?' the millionaire asks.

The guy grabs the microphone and says, 'Why don't we start with the name of the wise guy that pushed me in!'
